Ontario’s iGaming and sports betting markets are getting closer and more companies are expressing interest in the market. 릴게임 This week, Tiidal Gaming Group, a leading e-sports and gaming platform company, announced it had applied to Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission to become the province’s regulated gaming supplier.
Initially, the open market for private businesses in the province was scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of last year, but this year, more specifically, it was postponed to April 4, 2022. And after Canada legalized single-sport betting through Bill C-18, a large number of game operators in the industry expressed interest in participating.
Tiidal Gaming Group has applied for a manufacturer’s license, a game-related supplier, to AGCO through its wholly owned subsidiary Tiidal Gaming Canada. If approved by regulators, the license allows Sportsflare, the company’s wholly owned technology arm, to supply artificial intelligence-based eSports betting solutions to other approved sportsbook operators.
Tom Hearne, the company’s CEO, said the team is looking to gain early mobility benefits in Canada’s most populous states and states that are expected to become one of the continent’s largest markets. He added that the company wants to expand its presence in North America and introduce cutting-edge betting products to Ontario gamblers.
Once the company receives regulatory approval from AGCO, it will join a list of several others who have recently been authorized by the Commission to participate in the market. The list includes World Series of Poker, Pointbet, Rival, Score, 888, and most recently Bragg Gaming Group and Fan’s Unit, which announced their licenses this week.
Nick Schulsky, CEO of Pointzbet Canada, said the approved gaming brand will try to attract locals from illegal and gray market websites, but says doing so will be a challenge. He also doesn’t agree with just US$100,000 and a low 20% operator fee because this makes it more likely that less-intentional operators will get their hands on the license.
