South Korea’s 11th consecutive Olympic Handball Challenge

The South Korean women’s handball team, led by head coach Henrik Signel, aims to advance to the Olympic finals for the 11th consecutive time.

The women’s handball team left for Hiroshima, Japan, on the 15th, where the Asian qualifying round for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held. Five countries, including South Korea, Japan, China, Kazakhstan, and India, will participate in the full-league competition.

Starting with India on the 17th, South Korea will play against China (18th), Kazakhstan (21st), and Japan (23rd).

If you win first place, you will go straight to the Olympic finals, and if you win second place, you will have to compete with other continental countries for the remaining tickets to the finals.

South Korea’s women’s handball has made it to the finals for the 10th consecutive time from the 1984 LA Olympics to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the highest record in men’s and women’s handball worldwide.

Whether South Korea will advance to the finals or not is expected to be decided in the final match against Japan. South Korea has the upper hand in relative records with Japan recently.

South Korea also beat Japan 27-24 in the Tokyo Olympics finals. 스포츠토토
