Ayurvedic Cleansing

Cleansing is a habit that we follow from our traditions. In the modern days, people do juice fasts or elimination diets. However, people use ayurvedic medicines and cleansers for many years from the Ayurvedic Clinic in Cippenham. There are many options for cleansing, but people should not follow a juice diet for many days.

Ayurveda is a powerful pull-out for several reasons. The ayurvedic cleanse balances all the doshas, and it is highly affordable, so that one can get it from the Ayurvedic ayu in Cippenham. It focuses on cleaning both the body and mind.

Time to cleanse

One can go for an ayurvedic cleanse whenever they feel like there is a lot of toxic or undigested food. So here are a few symptoms when your body needs detoxification;

  • When you are irritated
  • Constant pain in the body
  • Instant weight gain or unable to lose weight
  • More cravings for sugar
  • Candida
  • Issues like dry skin, rashes, and acne
  • White layer on the tongue, particularly in the morning

Earlier, people preferred ayurvedic cleanse three times a year. The three seasonal cleanses of ayurveda are;

  • Spring season
  • Summer days
  • Winter seasons

One can go for cleansing whenever one feels tired at the start of the season.

The three phases of cleansing

The traditional cleaning, known as panchakarma, is done after three to four weeks. The cleanse stays for at least three to four weeks. You can customize it your way.

Phase 1: Preparation

The first phase focuses on maintaining gut health only by eating a healthy and clean diet. We also focus on the hydration of the body. In the first week, one can focus only on healthy food items and avoid the following:

  • Fish and meats
  • Alcohol
  • Sugar
  • Dairy products
  • Caffeine
  • Processed and packed food items

One also needs to include green and leafy vegetables in the diet. This all cleanses the body.

Phase 2: Cleanse

  • When your gut gets to rest from excess food items, it is time to start your digestive fire.
  • One has to focus only on specific types of clean eating.
  • You can have ghee oleation and a kitchari meal.
  • Oleation is a healthy oil in your food.
  • Kitchari: it is a traditional dish. The dish is prepared with mung dal beans, some spices for flavors, basmati rice, and ghee.
  • It is a perfect dish as it contains all the micronutrients, proteins, and carbohydrates.
  • Ghee: ghee has butyric acid that helps to preserve a healthy intestine wall.

Phase 3: Restore

  • This phase is the same as phase 1.
  • You can eat and also focus on hydration.
  • Throughout this phase, you will feel that you should eat everything at one time so that you enter the sphere of food variety.
  • But one should introduce food slowly. You can eat vegetables in the starting.
  • Carry on with avoiding items like caffeine, meat, alcohol, and sugar, as your body is sensitive to these items after following phases one and two.
