Chartered Accountancy is one of the most popular courses for commerce students. The primary factors are the increasing demand for Chartered Accountants and the high CA salaries. CA applicants need to clear the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final examinations. The total CA duration will be five years if you pass all three examinations on your first try. Yet, the question that often comes to the minds of CA candidates is the overall fees of the CA Course for these five years.
To provide an overview, the total fee for the CA course for five years is Rs. 87,300, which is also the CA Foundation route. However, after graduation, CA course fees are Rs. 76,200, which is also the CA Direct Entry route.
The Total CA Course Fees For Five Years

CA Foundation Course Fee
The entire fee of the CA Foundation course is Rs. 11,300. It comprises of:
- Rs. 9000 registration fee for the CA Foundation
- Rs 200 for the Foundation Prospectus, which is compulsory.
- Rs. 1500 for the exam form that you need to pay while filling out the exam form.
- Rs 200 for the Subscription Fees for the Student’s Journal is optional.
- Rs 400 for Subscription Fees for a Member’s Journal is also optional.
CA Intermediate Course Fee
The next part of the CA Course Fees is the CA Intermediate.
You have two registration options for the CA Inter Course: Foundation or Direct entry. Students who have enrolled through the Foundation method may register for one of the groups at once or both. On the other hand, graduate students must choose both groups if they have directly enrolled for CA Intermediate.
The registration cost for CA Intermediate is Rs. 13,000 for one group and Rs. 18,000 for both groups. While registering, students must pay their fees online.
The CA Inter examination form costs Rs 2700 for both groups & Rs 1500 for only one. The Intermediate level activity fee for the student is Rs 2000. Moreover, students must pay this fee to participate in the ICAI’s different workshops and seminars.
Students must complete the ICITSS program before beginning their articleship training and after enrolling in the CA Intermediate course. Moreover, it comprises an orientation program and information technology training. Also, these fees are a part of the CA Course Fees.
The fee for these courses is as follows:
- Orientation Program: Rs 7000
- IT Program: Rs 6500
CA Final Course Fee
The next part of the CA course fee structure is the CA Final fees.
For both groups, the entire course cost for the CA Final is Rs. 39800, and for only one group, it is Rs. 38300. It comprises the CA Final registration cost and the exam form fees.
During their final two years of articleship training, candidates must complete AICITSS, comprising the Management and Communication Skills curriculum and the Advance Information Training program.
The following is the CA Course fee for both these training:
- Advanced Information Technology Program: Rs 7500
- Management and Communication Skills: Rs 7000
In addition to the above-mentioned fees, students must undergo three years of articleship training. After passing either CA Inter groups, candidates may apply for articleship training.
The cost for students to sign up for the articleship training is Rs. 2000, also part of the CA Course Fees.
CA Course Fees structure After Graduation or Direct Entry Route
Students choosing the direct entry route need not need to appear at the CA Foundation and pay any fees related to the CA Foundation. Also, they won’t need five years to become a CA. Hence, the CA course duration and fees reduce for students opting for the direct entry route.
The CA Course fees for the direct entry route will be approximately Rs 76,200, and the duration will be 4.5 years if the student completes all the levels in a single attempt.
