What advantages come with MSME registration?

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Businesses recognises the MSME sector’s vigour and dynamism as a significant factor in India’s economy’s expansion.   • The interest rates on bank loans are significantly lower for registered MSMEs. MSMEs can get loans for as little as 1% with more reasonable EMIs.
  • A registered MSMEs may be eligible for tax exemption with an MSME Certificate.
  • For registered MSMEs, the Minimum Alternate Tax (MAT) period may be increased to 15 years. The normal MAT is 10 years, however.
  • Priority is given to MSMEs registered with the Ministry of MSMEs when applying for licences and certificates granted by the Indian government.
  • A registered MSME is eligible for a number of discounts and reductions on patent fees and startup costs.
  • Registered MSMEs’ owners can readily obtain finance for their companies.
  • Due to the Udyam Registration Portal’s integration with the Government e-Marketplace and other portals that make it easy for MSMEs to access marketplaces and e-tenders, MSMEs are given preference for government contracts.
  • MSMEs are eligible for a One-Time Settlement Fee for overdue or unpaid MSME bills.

Procedure for Registering an MSME

Registration for MSME is a rather simple process. It takes these nine fundamental steps.

  1. Both an online government site and conventional financial institutions are available for registration.
  2. Before registering for an MSME, you must first register for an Aadhar number.
  3. Using Udyog Aadhaar Registration, applications can be submitted online.
  4. For either five years or sixty months, a business may register a proviso.
  5. A provisional MSME registration is issued by the Ministry of MSMEs.
  6. e-Aadhaar OTP can be used for verification.
  7. This makes obtaining loans and NOCs for provisional registration simple.
  8. Owners can now submit an application for a permanent MSME licence after starting their business.
  9. You can now get a licence that is perpetually valid. Despite the possibility of cancellation.
