This movie is a legal remake of the 2014 Tamil hit Veeram and is an action-packed, emotional drama. - Gumraah: This movie released on 7th April on the silver screens. It was directed by Vardhan Ketkar and the main cast includes Aditya Roy Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. It is also a remake of another Tamil film Thadam.The movie centers on the murder of Aakash Sardana (Aditya Lal) and the two potential individuals suspected, Ronnie alias Sooraj (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Arjun, who are identical twins. The movie is being liked by audiences for the thrill-packed plot and excellent performance by the actors. Though, it was able to only collect approx 10.6 crores at the box office.
- Gaslight: Directed by Pawan Kriplani, Gaslight released on silver screens on 31st March. The movie starred Sara Ali Khan, Chitrangada Singh and Vikrant Massey. This is again a murder mystery which revolves around a girl, a step-mother, a lover, a father, a police officer, and a doctor. The movie was a decent thriller and did not perform very well on people’s expectations. The movie got only thirty eight lakh views in its opening weekend on OTT platforms.

Most awaited movies that are going to release in May 2023 are IB71, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, and Aazam. IB71 starring Vidyut Jammwal is a spy thriller motion picture.
