Bootcamp will be sold to women around the world as part of a commitment to open up poker and make it accessible to anyone.
Bootcamp was created after a survey conducted by PokerStars found that more than 55 percent of women felt that poker was not comprehensive for them.
PokerStars operates the bootcamp itself from July 31 to September 28, 2023, and will receive applications by July 22.
Rebecca McAdam Willetts, Director of Public Relations and Consumer Engagement Partnerships, said. “Working with our insight community, our ambassadors, and key women and groups in the poker world, we are confident that we can make a difference with many initiatives to come.
We want to encourage more women to sit at the table, and by doing so, we want to learn new skills that can benefit them elsewhere in our lives.
We want to create an accessible, secure and fun space for education and growth where people who are new to the game can be vulnerable and open.
Bootcamp consists of eight modules, from negotiation to strategic decision making.
The final women’s table will also receive all the cost traps to EPT Cyprus this October to participate in the showdown event, and the prizes include a special package to EPT Prague this December.
