GG Sanctions Q1 Casino Payments

The time has come for Ontario lottery and gaming companies to once again share the benefits of their gambling operations with the community hosting casinos in the province. Milton Town recently said it received CA$2.5 million worth of payments for hosting Elements Casino Mohawk during the first quarter of fiscal 2023-2024. 카지노

Each quarter, the crown agency shared some of its revenue with the host community through a local government donation agreement. These payments to the host community are based on a formula that is consistently applied across all game sites in Ontario and use the phased scale of game revenue for each host site.

For a window between April 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023 or Q1 for the fiscal year 2023-2024, Milton Town received CA$2,536,285 in exchange for hosting Elements Casino Mohawk. Since Game Amenity began in August 1999, the town has earned more than C$137.6 million. The money was used to fund capital projects and initiatives in the region.

Finance Minister Peter Betlenfalby said municipalities could support critical community programs and services by attracting communities and leverage casino proceeds to strengthen local infrastructure. In his words, these financial inputs enable funding for important programs and services that will provide a better future for Ontarians.

OLG also issued quarterly payments to Point Edwards to host Starlight Casino Point Edwards from April 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023. The amount paid by the Waterfront Casino was CA$375,814. The gaming facility opened in April 2000, and has since contributed more than CA$50.8 million in tax revenue.

Sania also received a fair share from Crown Corporation for hosting the location of Gateway Casino Sania at Hiawatha Horse Park. The city recorded CA$90,351 in the first quarter, so its allocation was slightly lower than that of other municipalities. The city has collected a total of $27.3 million in CA since Hiawata’s game site opened for customers in May 1999.

Not long ago, OLG’s Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach-hosted Wasaga shared plans on how to use the game revenue reflected by Wasaga. Town officials shared that they considered using the funds to create new community health centers and out-of-hours clinics. The new facility will be operational on September 1, 2023.

In July this year, OLG signed a new alliance marketing partnership with Gateway Casino & Entertainment, one of the largest offline game operators in the province. With the new deal, operators will promote OLG’s online slots, table games, live casinos, and OLG.ca ‘s digital sports book PROLINE+ to many customers.
